Overview of the Great Wall International MBA Program 彰武
The Great Wall International MBA program provides you with a double concentration in international business and finance and is focused on understanding the growing economic and political influence of China and Chinese business entities in the world economy.
Nearly all of the courses are offered in English language and are taught by full-time faculty of OCU’s Meinders School of Business on the campus of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics in China. At the completion of the program, successful students will receive an MBA degree from Oklahoma City University. 正门

Instruction in the Great Wall international MBA program is delivered by Meinders School of Business faculty traveling from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to teach courses in China.

Orientation Period
The purposes of the orientation period are to cover prerequisite courses, provide more information about the Meinders School of Business and TUFE, introduce faculty who teach in the Great Wall International MBA program, and the program’s goals. Orientation classes are conducted jointly by OCU and TUFE professors or administrators. The objectives of this time are to help the student feel comfortable in new surroundings, prepare for the challenges of the program, and provide understanding of how this program can help achieve an individual’s career goals. 
Great Wall International MBA Program Courses
The program consists of 13 courses with each course’s duration lasting one month. Each course will provide a minimum of 40 hours of faculty contact time with you in the classroom. All Great Wall International MBA courses require precourse readings and postcourse projects.
The first two weeks of each month are allocated for MBA classes conducted during the day. Classes meet Monday through Friday. 
The second two weeks of each month are allocated for precourse assignments required for the next course, and the postcourse assignments of the course taught during the first two weeks of the month. 
The cycle occurs each month throughout the duration of the Great Wall International MBA program. You will receive a course syllabus and learning materials for each course approximately one month prior to the beginning of course. Extensive preparation prior to the class is required.
Courses in the Great Wall International MBA program are specially designed to give you three specific areas of specialization as you complete your MBA degree: Finance, international business, and conducting business in China. Upon graduation, students will have completed five MBA courses in each of these areas. For a complete list of the Great Wall International MBA program courses and their descriptions refer to the Course Descriptions insert.

Language and Cultural Classes, Field Trips
Understanding basic Chinese culture as well as ethical and business values is critical for business success in China. The Great Wall International MBA program will provide students with many opportunities to learn and understand Chinese language, culture, and business practices. During the orientation period of the Great Wall International MBA program, and also during the last two weeks of each month, students will participate in Mandarin language classes, Chinese business culture classes, visit historic Chinese sites, and listen to presentations by senior Chinese business managers as you tour their offices and production facilities.
Internship Programs
Internship programs allow students to apply theories learned in the classroom to a real world setting; build a work history for resumes; acquire practical, professional and personal skills; and gain a competitive edge in the job market.
The OCU/TUFE joint MBA program is the first and the longest-running American MBA in China. It has more than 600 influential alumni in China. Many hold Top-level managerial positions and are willing to share their knowledge and experiences. During the last four months of the Great Wall International MBA program you will have the opportunity to intern in a top-level company or multinational firm operating in China. 
A Comprehensive Research Project
As a student in the Great Wall International MBA program you will be expected to develop a high level of expertise in a particular area of financial management and an industry according to your individual interests and objectives as you complete your degree requirements. 
You will select an area of specialization, with the support and approval of your professors and the director of the Great Wall International MBA program, after you complete most of your finance courses, but before beginning your internship. Students are encouraged to select a specialization in the field of business finance, industry, and in a firm operating in China.
After selecting an area of specialization, you will collect and study specific information and readings related to your area of interest. The postcourse project, research paper, and internship you select should focus on your designated area of specialization to help further develop your knowledge and expertise. 
The findings and results of your research project will be documented in a final, comprehensive MBA project report that will be completed during the final two courses of the Great Wall MBA program. The project will require a formal presentation to the class in order to increase the overall knowledge of all students in the Great Wall International MBA program. Industry experts may be present during the presentation to evaluate your research project.

Students normally will complete the entire Great Wall International MBA program within a period of 18 months. However, if students fail to complete a course requirement, completion of the program may take a longer period of time. 
Your Classmates
Each incoming class will have a maximum of 40 students, expected to come from China (about 50 percent), United States and Canada (about 20 percent), Japan, Korea, Singapore (about 20 percent), Latin America and other countries (about 10 percent).
Admission Requirements
Admission requirements are the following:
* A bachelor’s degree, or its professional equivalent.
* Minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.7 on a scale of 4.
* Students, for whom English is not their first language, must have a minimum score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOFEL) of 550 (paper-based test), or 213 (computer-based test), or otherwise satisfy the University as to their English language proficiency.
Student Housing
